AION 2 Classes & Builds
How AION 2 class guidance gets researched and verified — build documentation standards, PvE and PvP contexts, and an honest status of confirmed facts.

Class advice in an MMO is only as good as its evidence. This page explains how AION 2 class and build coverage works on this wiki: what is confirmed about the combat identity so far, what a build page must contain before it is published, and why you will not find an invented tier list here. The baseline verification date for everything below is October 12, 2026, and the global PC version has been live since October 5, 2026 — early days, with balance changes expected.
What is confirmed about combat so far

The official description of AION 2 highlights flight and aerial combat as defining features, which shapes how every class plays: positioning is three-dimensional, and PvE or PvP encounters can move through the air rather than around a flat arena. Faction conflict adds a second layer — open-world, organized, and faction-based PvP are distinct contexts, and advice that ignores which context you are in tends to be wrong in all of them. The world these fights happen in is sized at 36 times the original AION by the official Steam description, so travel and escape decisions carry real distance.
The class roster: an honest status
One deliberate gap: this page does not yet enumerate the class roster of the global build. The research baseline behind this wiki verified launch facts, world systems, and the Krao Cave Expedition, but it did not confirm each global class's name, role, and skill kit in the live client. Publishing a roster from memory of the original AION or from regional versions would risk blending incompatible information — so the roster lands here after each class is verified, one by one, with the date it was checked.
That is a feature of the site's sourcing rule, not missing enthusiasm: a class page ships when its skill priorities, combat situations, and equipment assumptions can all be traced to the global client or an official global source.
What every AION 2 build page must contain
When build coverage begins, each page follows the same documentation standard so you can judge the advice instead of trusting it:
| Section | What it states | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Role and goal | Solo PvE, group Expedition, or faction PvP — named up front | The same class serves each differently |
| Skill priorities | What to raise first and what it assumes (level, items, party) | Assumptions stated, not hidden |
| Practical rotation | An opener and a repeatable sequence in plain language | Testable against your own client |
| Failure cases | Situations where the build performs poorly | No build is good everywhere |
| Last verified | The date the details were checked in the global client | Balance moves; dates keep you safe |
PvE and PvP are different documents
A PvE damage setup optimizes for sustained output against encounter mechanics; survivability, group utility, and burst timing rearrange priorities for PvP. Because AION 2 makes aerial combat central, air-phase behavior belongs in both documents rather than being a footnote. Recommendations here will always name the context they were tested in, and multi-source community claims appear only with at least three independent reports and a date range, per the site's evidence rules — a single confident post never becomes a page.
While you decide
If you are early in the game, the beginner guide covers the progression loop and flight basics that every class shares. If you are preparing for group content, the dungeon hub explains Expedition preparation starting from Krao Cave's confirmed five-player design. Gear decisions that support any build — upgrade timing, crafting, gathering — live on the gear and crafting page.
